Hi!

It's that time again, update time!

In 1785 Robert Burns wrote “The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.” Truer words my friends! No matter how carefully a project is planned there is always something that seems to get in the way. In our case it was CNC issues and supply issues on certain thicknesses of wood. We had two CNC breakdowns in July and ironically, they were the same issue but on opposite sides of the machine. The manufacturer sent us replacement parts, so we were up and running within a week or so for each breakdown, but the delay did put us behind on our target delivery date for some backers. Additionally, we had some issues with getting the needed thicknesses of a couple species of woods, but we found them, so we're good to go.

We humble apologize and want you to know that we are working hard to get the rest of our orders out within the next few weeks. First shipment has gone out!

Just a quick update.

July shipping has begun! This first group of shipments included Backers who only purchased HEX boxes (no trays). The next group will be TITAN boxes (no trays). There really is a method to our madness. The CNC has been busy with TITAN dice vaults so the HEX trays have not made it into production yet. TITAN trays do not require CNC time but they do require more production time for joinery and glue ups. There is so much going on :)

We're Getting Closer!

So Much Is Happening!

Hi!

Wow! We have been very busy getting the shop updated to be more efficient and functional. Because of all of you we have been able to purchase most of the items on our wish list. On the top of our list was a bandsaw. This was our most expensive purchase but an essential tool for the shop, not only for efficiency but for safety. The bandsaw will also allow us the ability to expand the sizes of wood we can use to reduce waste and the types of products we will be able to offer. Next on our list were routers. We now have four new routers set into a router station, to make those beautiful, chamfered edges without having to reset the single router we had, for each of the many profiles we use. Other items on our list included: a manual press for cutting the foam and stamping the leather, custom dies of the various foam shapes for the dice vaults (no more cutting by hand for prototypes, thank God!), and brass stamps of our logo for stamping leather. Of course, we had a few office supplies that were needed to speed up the processing of shipping, these include a scale and label printer.

So where are we with production? This week we started production of the HEX dice vaults and they look amazing. We can't wait to get these into the hands of our backers and get your feedback.
